Abstract:
A system for augmenting gas turbine power output is disclosed. The system includes a gas turbine engine (102) having a compressor (104), a combustor (106), and a turbine (108). The system also includes a pressurized air tank (122) in communication with the gas turbine engine (102). Moreover, the system may include an external compressor (138) in communication with the pressurized air tank (122). The external compressor (138) may be configured to supply compressed air to the pressurized air tank (122), and the pressurized air tank (122) may be configured to supply compressed air to the gas turbine engine (102).
