Abstract:
To provide a conveying device and a conveying method capable of conveying a belt-shape thin plate at a fixed speed while preventing it from being deformed and maintaining a hoop at a winding portion.SOLUTION: A conveying device 1 comprises: an upstream roll 20 around which a lead frame base material LF is wound; a downstream roll 30 which is positioned on a downstream of the upstream roll 20 and around which the lead frame base material LF is wound; a winding device 50 which is positioned on a downstream of the downstream roll 30 in a conveying passage TR and around which the lead frame base material LF is wound; a speed control motor 21 rotating the upstream roll 20 at a fixed speed to thereby move the lead frame base material LF wound around the upstream roll 20 and the downstream roll 30 to a downstream side of the conveying passage TR; and a torque control motor 31 for controlling a torque of the downstream roll 30 to thereby apply a fixed tensile force to the lead frame base material LF wound around the downstream roll 30.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
