Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound roll for rolling having an outer layer in which segregation of MC type carbide is suppressed and a crystallizing black lead amount is adjusted, and therefore being superior in wear resistance, surface roughness resistance, crack resistance and accident resistance.SOLUTION: A compound roll for rolling has an outer layer which contains in mass%: 2.2%-3.2% of C, 1.0%-3.0% of Si, 0.3%-2.0% of Mn, 3.0%-7.0% of Ni, 0.5%-2.5% of Cr, 1.0%-3.0% of Mo, 2.5%-5.0% of V, more than 0% and 0.5% or less of Nb; and the balance Fe with unavoidable impurities. The outer layer satisfies: a condition (a) Nb%/V%<0.1; and a condition (b) 2.1×C%+1.2×Si%-Cr%+0.5×Mo%+(V%+Nb%/2)≤13.0%.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
