Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress mist stain by particularly efficiently recovering mist of a reaction liquid in a printing apparatus including ink discharge heads and a reaction liquid discharge head.SOLUTION: A printing apparatus includes ink discharge heads to discharge ink, and a reaction liquid discharge head to discharge a reaction liquid that reacts with the ink. The reaction liquid discharge head is disposed in at least one of an uppermost stream and a downmost stream in a moving direction of a medium in the discharge heads. Mist recovery units, whose housing has an air blowout port and an air suction port formed on a bottom part thereof, are respectively disposed adjacent to each other on an upstream side and a downstream side of the reaction liquid discharge head.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
