Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tire suppressing reduction of durability and uneven wear while achieving weight saving.SOLUTION: A pneumatic tire comprises a tread, a pair of side walls, a pair of clinches 8, a pair of beads, and a carcass. The clinch 8 includes a flange contact surface 38 extending radially outward and coming into contact with a flange of a rim. The flange contact surface 38 has a recess 40. A virtual straight line passing an outer end Pa of the flange contact surface 38 and coming into contact with the flange contact surface 38 on the inside of the recess 40 in a radial direction is defined as L1, and a point in which the straight line L1 comes into contact with the flange contact surface 38 on the inside of the recess 40 in the radial direction is defined as Pb. Here, the recess 40 is recessed inward in an axial direction from the straight line L1. The thickness of the clinch 8 gradually increases from the point Pb of the flange contact surface 38 toward the outer end Pa.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
