Abstract:
Provided is a heat exchanger that can perform efficient heat exchange. A heat exchanger 100 comprises: a distribution header 101 which is provided so as to extend in the vertical direction and in which a distribution channel 101e is formed; a merge header 102 which is provided so as to extend in the vertical direction and in which a merge channel 102e is formed; and a tubular refrigerant pipe 110 which has one end connected to the distribution header 101 and the other end connected to the merge header 102 and in which a refrigerant channel 103a in which the refrigerant flows from the one end to the other end is provided. A plurality of the refrigerant pipes 110 is provided in the vertical direction in different locations. The refrigerant pipe 110 has a heat transfer section that is provided with fins 104 on the exterior thereof, and a connection section that is provided on both ends of the heat transfer section and that is not provided with fins 104 on the exterior thereof. The heat transfer section of the refrigerant pipe 110 has a first resistance area inside which helical grooves are provided and a second resistance area that has a different flow resistance from the first resistance area. The first resistance area and the second resistance area are formed with axial lengths such that the refrigerant pipe 110 has a flow resistance corresponding to the position in the vertical direction.
