Abstract:
The invention relates to an electrical connector (100) comprising a position assurance device (230), called a CPA device (230), suitable for activating and maintaining the locking of the electrical connector (100). In particular, the invention relates to an electrical connector (100), a housing assembly (200) of which, comprising a first housing (201), a slider (205) provided with the CPA device (230), must be transported with the slider (205) in an opened position with respect to the first housing (201), in order to avoid involuntary locking of the CPA device (230) during the transport. The object of the present invention is to provide an electrical connector (100) comprising an improved CPA device (230) compared to the existing systems and, in particular, to allow the transportation with the slider (205) in a closed position in the first housing (201) while limiting mistakes when assembling the electrical connector (100) with assured establishment of simple installation. The object of the present invention is achieved by maintaining the CPA device (230) in a blocked delivery position and by activating the locking of the CPA device (230) by introducing a second housing (300) which mates with the first housing (201).
