Abstract:

To provide a laminated solid-state imaging apparatus and a method of reducing random noise therein each of which achieves high efficiency of reduction of noise such as dark current shot noise or a reset noise, and can provide a high image quality output.SOLUTION: The laminated solid-state imaging apparatus comprises pixels arranged in a two dimensional array shape, the pixel comprising, one each, a transfer transistor MT1 for acquiring a noise signal and a transfer transistor MT2 for acquiring a noise-included image signal each of which has same shape and in each of which a photoelectric conversion part and a signal reading circuit part are laminated. The laminated solid-state imaging apparatus is formed by connecting drains of the MT1 and MT2 to an electric charge-voltage conversion circuit 204, a transfer switch TS, a CDS (Correlated Double Sampling) circuit 205, and an A/D converter 206 through a vertical signal line. To a light-receiving surface of the photoelectric conversion part, a source part of the MT2 of the corresponding pixel is connected, and the source prat of the MT1 is not connected. A level of a dark current shot noise read out from the MT1 is held in the CDS circuit 205 and difference between a pixel signal level read out from the MT2 and the held noise level is calculated in each horizontal scanning period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
