Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medical image processing apparatus which enables a direction where a medical appliance should be advanced in a tubular tissue in a subject, to be easily visually recognized.SOLUTION: The medical image processing apparatus comprises: an acquisition part acquiring volume data including a tissue having a tree structure; an extraction part extracting at least a section of the tree structure out of the volume data as tree structure data; a setting part setting a first point in the tree structure data; a generation part connecting the first point to a second point which is positioned closer to a proximal end side than the first point in the tree structure data, and generating a path extended along the tree structure data; and a display part which discriminates the path from a sub path branched from the path in the tree structure data, and displays the path, the branch of the sub path from the path, and a travel direction of the sub path from branch, the display part displaying travel directions of the path and the sub path in different display modes.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
