Abstract:
To provide a spool of a double bearing reel that can reduce inertia of the spool and secure a braking force at the same time.SOLUTION: Rotation of a spool 5 of a double bearing reel is braked by exerting a magnetic force. The spool 5 comprises a cylindrical bobbin drum part 51 and a pair of flange parts 59. A fishing line is wound around an outer periphery of the bobbin drum part 51. The bobbin drum part 51 comprises a first perforated cylindrical part 52 and a second perforated cylindrical part 53. The first perforated cylindrical part 52 is provided on one side of the pair of flange parts 59. The first perforated cylindrical part 52 comprises a first through hole 54a. The second perforated cylindrical part 53 is provided on another side of the pair of flange parts 59. The magnetic force for braking the rotation is exerted on the second perforated cylindrical part 53. The second perforated cylindrical part 53 comprises a second through hole 55a having a smaller diameter than that of the first through hole 54a.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3A
