Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide chondrogenesis promotion compositions that have no problem in terms of safety, as well as to provide chondrogenic promotion supplements, food and drinks, and chondrogenic promotion cosmetics in which the substance is compounded.SOLUTION: Provided is a chondrogenic promotion composition, chondrogenic promotion supplement, food and drink, and chondrogenic promotion cosmetic which contain as an active ingredient E-cadherin and/or an E-cadherin degradation product obtained by degrading E-cadherin with a protease such as pepsin and pancreatin. Preferably, the invention provides a method for improving arthralgia that comprises taking in orally 10.0 μg or more/day of the E-cadherin and/or E-cadherin degradation product, or applying 0.05 to 0.5% by weight of a composition in which the E-cadherin and/or E-cadherin degradation product is compounded.EFFECT: The E-cadherin and/or E-cadherin degradation product has a function of promoting chondrogenesis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
