Abstract:

The purpose of the present invention is to shorten the takt time of a process for inserting a terminal into a terminal hole by correcting the position of a clamp so as to align the positions of the terminal and the terminal hole. The terminal insertion device (2) comprises: a first displacement detector (111) that calculates the difference between the position of a clamp (42) from a time point at which a first passing sensor (51) detected the passing of a terminal (12) and a predetermined reference position in a first moving direction, thereby detecting the amount of displacement in the first moving direction; a correction device (108) that corrects the position of the clamp (42) on the basis of the amount of displacement in the first moving direction; and an insertion control device (120) that moves the clamp (42) from the corrected position in the longitudinal direction of a wire (11) so as to insert the terminal (12) into the terminal hole (21) of a connector (20).
