Abstract:
To provide a hot metal pretreatment method capable of reducing a phosphorus concentration after a dephosphorization treatment while suppressing temperature drop during the treatment when removing silicon and phosphorus contained in the hot metal.SOLUTION: In the hot metal pretreatment method that includes a concurrent treatment of desiliconization and dephosphorization: a primary pretreatment is performed in such a manner that an oxygen gas and a refining agent containing lime and iron oxide as main components are supplied to a same location in the hot metal by using an immersion lance without discharging slag or allowing the slag to flow out, and is completed at 0.050 mass% or more of a phosphorus concentration in the hot metal; the slag generated in the pretreatment is discharged; the similar secondary pretreatment is performed if necessary, and then the slag is discharged; and further, main treatment for the dephosphorization is performed in which the oxygen gas is blown onto the hot metal bath surface from a top blowing lance, and a dephosphorization flux containing the lime and the iron oxide as the main components is injected into the hot metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
