Abstract:
To suppress processing load of detecting a stray child from an input image made of a plurality of frame images.SOLUTION: A stray child detector 12 includes: a first motion vector detector 50 for detecting a motion vector in an input image and detecting a region of a person; a feature point extractor 52 for extracting a feature point in the region of the person; a size detector 54 for detecting the size of the person in the input image from the distribution of the feature point; a second motion vector detector 56 for detecting a motion vector by the feature point; a feature point tracking unit 58 for obtaining a trace of the feature point from the motion vector by the feature point; an action detector 60 for detecting a feature action of a stray child on the basis of the trace of the feature point; and a stray child determination unit 62 for determining a stray child from the results of detection by the size detector 54 and by the action detector 60. The first motion vector detector 50 detects a motion vector in a frame image, and the second vector detector 56 detects a motion vector over a plurality of frame images subsequent to the one frame image.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
