Abstract:
When a slewing motor (441) is at a stop, a first slewing control unit (63) of a controller (6) that controls an operation of the slewing motor (441) sets a first monitoring area (T1) that is set with respect to a slewing body (12) as a designated area, and then controls, depending on whether an obstacle is detected in the first monitoring area (T1), whether to prohibit or allow start of the slewing motor (441) in response to a drive manipulation. Furthermore, a second slewing control unit (63) of the controller (6) sets one or more second monitoring areas (T2) that are set at places remoter from the slewing body (12) than the first monitoring area (T1) as the designated area, and then controls, depending on whether the obstacle is detected in the one or more second monitoring areas (T2), whether to limit the operation of the slewing motor (441) in response to the drive manipulation after the start of the slewing motor (441) is allowed.
