Abstract:
To provide: an improved capacitor with improved properties, particularly for use in humid condition; and an improved conductive polymer capable of providing a better corner and edge coverage in a capacitor.SOLUTION: A method for forming a solid electrolyte capacitor comprises the steps of: providing an anodized anode; and forming a conductive polymer layer on the anodized anode. The conductive polymer layer comprises: first particles containing a conductive polymer and a polyanion; and second particles containing the conductive polymer and the polyanion. The first particles have an average particle diameter of at least 1 micron to no more than 10 microns. The second particles have an average particle diameter of at least 1 nm to no more than 600 nm. The conductive polymer layer includes an internal polymer layer and an external polymer layer. The internal polymer layer contains a pre-polymerized conductive polymer.SELECTED DRAWING: None
