Abstract:
To solve the problem that a conventional laser distance measuring device is a system that requires a high-speed AD converter to take measurements with high precision and thereby costs much.SOLUTION: A laser distance measuring device uses burst laser light and limits the band almost to a burst frequency at a reception part to obtain a waveform approximating a SIN wave, which is AD-converted; and DFT calculation of the data is performed to obtain a detailed part of a flight time of light found from a phase and a burst period calculated from a ratio of a real number part and a virtual number part of only the fundamental wave of a burst. Thus, only the fundamental wave is handled to lower a sampling frequency of AD conversion. Further DFT calculation with only fundamental wave components may be lower in precision owing to waveform distortion, so a built-in variable delay circuit has calibration means to enhance precision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
