To provide food and medicines having dipeptidyl peptidase IV (DPP-4)-inhibiting activity, blood sugar level-reducing activity and/or type 2 diabetes-treating and/or preventing activity.SOLUTION: Disclosed are a bean fermentation product fermented by a mushroom to inhibit DPP-4, to reduce blood sugar level and/or to treat and/or prevent type 2 diabetes, a method for producing the fermentation product by using a mushroom, a food composition and pharmaceutical composition containing the fermentation product for inhibiting DPP-4, for reducing blood sugar level and/or for treating and/or preventing type 2 diabetes.SELECTED DRAWING: None
