Abstract:
PURPOSE:To decrease the temperature dependancy, by constituting a magnetic resistive element with series-connected current paths and taking an angle of theta0+DELTAthetac between a bias current and a bias magnetic field for one current path and taking theta0-DELTAthetac for another path. CONSTITUTION:The 1st current path 21 and the 2nd current path 22 are connected in series to form a magnetic resistive element 20, and a bias power supply 26, is connected between terminals 23, 24 to flow a bias current IB. A theta0 is an angle to be set freely and it is set to 45 deg. this time. When a conductive magnetic rod 28 approaches the element 20, a magnetic field of theta0+DELTAthetac is applied to the path 21, and a magnetic field of theta0-DELTAthetac is given to the path 22, and an unbalanced voltage output to V0/2 at an output terminal 25 is DELTAV=K1V0.sin2DELTAtheta, where the V0 is a voltage at the power supply 26 and K1 is a constant. The temperature drift, when DELTAtheta is zero, is zero.
