Abstract:
In a drive mechanism for cold pilger rolling mills with mass and torque balancing, the crank being driven is connected by a connecting rod to the roll stand. In order to obtain a drive mechanism which is compact, economical, and subjected to minimal stress, the roll stand (WG) is arranged directly above the crank drive (KU) and the connecting rod (KO) is mounted directly on the crank pin (3). Torque balancing is achieved by the total mass of the connecting rod (KO) and mass balancing by the total mass of the crank drive (KU).
