Abstract:
The invention provides a method of producing an immunogen, which method comprises polymerising a hirudin and/or a hirudin-like protein. Typically this is achieved by incubation with glutaraldehyde. The immunogen produced can be used to produce polyclonal or monoclonal antibody capable of binding to hirudin or a hirudin-like protein.
