Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide ease of submerging work and setting work on the bottom of water by a method wherein compressed air is stored in a main buoyant force-utilizing compressed air storage tank and a main compressed air storage tank after installation, and the compressed air is fed into and discharged from those tanks during installation work. CONSTITUTION:As the pressure of compressed air stored in a main compressed air storage tank 5 becomes equal to the surrounding water pressure, steel plates or hybrid plate does not need to have a strength enduring the pressure of the compressed air, however, the plate has a thickness enduring the external force during towing, and submerging and installation works, and anti-corrosion measure is adequately carried out. A clearance is provided between an additional weight loading part 6 and the main compressed air storage tank 5 to feed discharge the water in the main compressed air storage tank 5 corresponding to taking in and out of the compressed air. However, a water feed discharge pipe 9 can be furnished on the lower portion like as this practical example to feed discharge the water in the main compressed air storage tank.
