Abstract:
Use of compounds of formula (I), in which p, q and r each independently represent an integer from 1 to 4; A is a bond, -CH=CH-, -C=C-, oxygen, sulphur or NR<1>, where R<1> is hydrogen, C1-8alkyl or phenylC1-4alkyl; n is 0 to 6, and m is 0 to 6, such that the length of the chain -(CH2)nA(CH2)m is at least two atoms; and Ar is aryl or heteroaryl, each of which may be optionally substituted; and pharmaceutically acceptable salts thereof, for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of disorders where a calcium channel antagonist is indicated. Novel compounds of formula (I), processes for preparing them and pharmaceutical compositions containing them are also described.
