Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS4810812
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,208,485. Self-propelled toy vehicle on track game. M. I. GLASS [trading as, MARVIN GLASS & ASSOCIATES]. 16 July, 1968 [20 July, 1967], No. 33784/68. Headings A6H and A6S. A self-propelled toy vehicle, 20, runs along one of four non-concentric vehicle tracks 12, 14, 16, 18, which have parallel portions adjacent to one another and which include bridge-like structures 26, 27, 28, 29 adapted to laterally shift the toy vehicle from one track portion to an adjoining parallel portion of track, said vehicle including means for providing a signal contemporaneous with the stopping of the vehicle. Each player is assigned one track and controls one bridge-like structure by means of a handle such as 160 and endeavours to prevent the vehicle stopping on his track by transferring it to another track or by sending it along a track such as 184 towards the centre of the board where it strikes a bumper 190 and thus alters its direction of travel. The vehicle may be powered by a spring wound motor (details Fig. 5 and 6 not shown) which is connected through gearing with a pair of drive wheels adapted to straddle said track, said gearing includes a governor device to provide an essentially constant speed for the vehicle, and includes means to halt said motor and drive wheels after a predetermined period of operation of said motor.
