Abstract:
Aqueous adhesive emulsions based on blocked polyisocyanates comprise a mixture of a blocked polyisocyanate with a stable emulsion of a high mol wt. polurethane which has been obtained by dispersing a low polymeric polyurethane with residual NCO-gps in at least 1/2 amt. by wt of water in presence of surfactants. Advantage of the emulsions is that large amts of dangerous and expensive solvents are avoided, and they are not easily destroyed by moisture.
