Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS4917888
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1,158,414. Sawtooth circuits. RADIO CORPORATION OF AMERICA. 27 Oct., 1966 [15 Nov., 1965], No. 48299/66. Headings H3P and H3T. A line deflection circuit for a television receiver comprises two damping diodes 20, 22 and a capacitor 21 connected to two secondary windings 15b, 15c of the output transformer 15 in a manner substantially as shown. This arrangement enables diodes of lower breakdown voltage to be used for energy recovery. Windings 15b, 15c preferably have equal numbers of bifilar turns. The output tube or thyristor 13 may be turned on at the beginning of each flyback by pulses from 10 and turned off by operation of components 16, 18, 19. 600 v. flyback pulses are induced into windings 15b, 15c, giving 70 v. across capacitor 21. Diode 22 and capacitor 14 add a further 70 v., allowing diode 22 to be returned to the 140 v. B+ terminal. The invention may be applied to trace driven circuits. In Fig. 2, not shown, diode 20 is connected to a topping on winding 15b.
