Abstract:
An apparatus comprising an electromagnet for the diaphragm to be energized or unenergized under the control of an exposure amount control electric circuit depending on whether the brightness of subject is high or low, a distance associated member shiftable in operative relation to a distance adjusting member when a flash unit is mounted on the camera, and diaphragm setting and operating means operable in accordance with the energization and unenergization of the electromagnet to set the diaphragm aperture at two stages corresponding to the energization and unenergization respectively, the diaphragm setting and operating means being operable to detect the position of the distance associated member and to thereby determine the diaphragm aperture size in a continuous manner in accordance with the subject distance when the flash unit is mounted.
