1381328 Coating apparatus GAF CORP 3 Oct 1973 [16 Oct 1972] 47635/72 Addition to 1282265 Heading B2L [Also in Division D1] The apparatus of Specification No. 1282265 is modified in that the lamina support means for supporting a lamina against the surface of the liquid applicator roller comprises a bailing roller having a plurality of protuberances on the surface thereof which wet the reverse surface of a lamina passing between the applicator roller and the backing roller. The surface may be of hard rubber or plastics with a configuration as shown in Fig. la. Alternatively the tops of the protuberances may be flat and the valleys in between may be 'V'- shaped. The protuberances may be set in lines lying diagonally of the roller axis,
