Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5029036
Kind Code:
B1
Abstract:
1280497 Enzyme conjugates ORGANON LABORATORIES Ltd 12 Aug 1969 [31 Aug 1968] 40282/69 Headings C3H and C3P In a stable, water-soluble enzyme conjugate, the enzyme is bound with covalent bonds to compounds containing several reactive groups in the presence of a "protein hydrolysate" (see below). The compound containing several reactive groups may be polyacrylic acid activated with, for example, N-ethyl-5-phenylisoxazolium-31-sulphonate (Woodward's reagent K), the azide of carboxymethylcellulose, ethylene maleic acid anhydride, polyglutamic acid activated with Woodward's reagent K, formaldehyde, thioformaldehyde, dextrans substituted with isothiocyanic groups, dimethyl adipic acid derivatives, glutaric aldehyde, carbodiimides and phenol-2,4-disulphonyl chloride, cyanogenbromide, polysaccharides (e.g. dextran) activated by cyanogenbromide, crotonaldehyde, acrolein and chloroformic esters, or a mixture of these agents. The enzyme may be catalase, protease, amylase, amyloglucosidase, ribonuclease, lipase, or a transferase, lyase, esterase, isomerase or ligase, or a mixture thereof. The "protein hydrolysate" may be one or more amino acids or peptides; it may be hydrolysed casein, serum albumin, lactoglobulin, egg albumin, fibroin, myosin, keratin, collagen, gelatine, soya protein or crude protein mixtures.
