1482573 Photographic diffusion transfer silver halide film unit POLAROID CORP 3 Sept 1974 [4 Sept 1973] 38353/74 Heading G2C A photographic diffusion transfer film unit comprising layers secured together in order comprises a first dimensionally stable transparent layer, a dye image-receiving layer, an opaque layer, a photo-sensitive silver halide layer having associated therewith a diffusion transfer process dye imageforming material, and an aqueous alkaline processing composition permeable diffusion transfer process dye image-forming material impermeable layer, and an aqueous alkaline processing composition capable of being spread as a layer on the side of the dye image-forming material impermeable layer distant from the silver halide layer. The film unit may contain a second dimensionally stable transparent layer on the side of the impermeable layer distant from the silver halide layer and the processing composition may be discharged, e.g. from a rupturable container, between these layers. The processing composition may contain an opacifying agent. The impermeable layer may comprise butyl acrylate/diacetone acrylamide/ styrene/methacrylic acid, 60/30/4/6, optionally mixed with 1-2 wt. per cent polyacrylamide or 10 wt. per cent polyvinyl alcohol, or 2-sulphoethyl methacrylate/ethyl acrylate/methacrylic acid.
