Abstract:
New acetals and a composition and method for combatting and controlling animal and plant pests, especially insects and in particular fruit and citrus pests. The pesticidally active acetals correspond to the formula wherein X represents -CH2, -O- or -S-, Y represents -O- or -S-, R1 represents hydrogen or C1-C3-alkyl, and R2 represents C1-C4-alkyl, C1-C3-halogenoalkyl, C3-C4-alkenyl or C3-C4-alkynyl.
