Abstract:
1455596 Laminated extruded film TOYO SEIKAN KAISHA Ltd 29 April 1974 [30 April 1973] 18736/74 Headings B5N and B5B A packaging laminate of low permeability to moisture and gases comprises layers (i) and (ii) which have been fused together immediately following simultaneous extrusion, layer (i) being an acrylonitrile/(acrylic ester and/or butadiene) copolymer containing more than 50 mol per cent acrylonitrile, and layer (ii) being polypropylene, polyethylene (e.g low density) or an ethylene/vinyl acetate copolymer comprising not more than 8 mol per cent va. At least one layer may contain 2-30 parts ethylene/acrylic acid ionomer and/or ethylene/ vinyl acetate copolymer per 100 parts of the main resin component. Layer (i) may be heatsealed between two layers (ii). The laminate may be shaped by blow-moulding.
