1410025 Rollers XEROX CORP 3 Oct 1972 [6 Oct 1971] 45475/72 Heading F2U [Also in Division G2] A fluorocarbon-coated roller suitable for use as a fuser roller in a heat-fixing device within a xerographic apparatus is made by applying successive coats of tetrafluorethylene (as both primer and enamel) to a roller body, with drying and baking steps between the applications, avoiding any fusing of the tetrafluorethylene until the roller is complete and the tetrafluorethylene coats can be fused in a single operation, and also avoiding application of any single coat thick enough to incur mud cracking.
