Abstract:
PURPOSE: To enhance workability, traveling stability, mass-productivity, and reliability, by mixing a silicone, modified with a higher aliphatic acid, i.e. having higher aliphatic acid groups as the side chains, with a vinyl chloride type polymer.
CONSTITUTION: A modified silicone having as the side chains R2 as shown in formulaI, higher aliphatic acid groups or their ester groups is added to a vinyl chloride type resin by 0.6W1.2pts.wt. per 100pts.wt. vinyl resin and the mixture is used for a disc material. In formulaI, R1 is alkyl; R2 is higher aliphatic group -(CH2)nCOOH or its ester -(CH2)nCOOR', (n) is 4W17; and (x)+(y) is the polymn. degree of the siloxane bonds, and preferably, 200≤x+y≤600.
