PURPOSE: To observe the running state of the driver's own vehicle at a glance by associatively displaying a vehicle speed and an engine speed.

CONSTITUTION: In a case 10, engine speed scales 1W11 (RPM ×1,000) are provided in a vertical axis, and a display part 11 having speed scales 20W200 (km/h) is provided in a lateral axis. In the display part 11, a lateral engine speed display pointer 12, which is moved in the vertical direction in parallel and a vertical speed display pointer 13, which is intersected with the pointer 12 at a right angle and moved in the lateral direction in parallel are arranged. The pointers 12 and 13 are connected to a meter main body that is operated in correspondence with the engine speed and built in the case 10 and a speed display meter main body that is operated in response to the speed. In the display part 11, straight lines 1stWTOP corresponding to straight lines in Figure 2 are provided by paint or tape in white color, fluorescent color, or the like, which is easy to observe. In figure 3, the pointers 12 and 13 are intersected on the straight line indicating the second speed (2nd). The driver can know that the speed change gear of his vehicle is in the second speed at the time by only observing the display part 11.
