PURPOSE: To provide a glass body bonded by sealing in multi-stages which is hardly breakable and highly reliable, by sandwiching plural sheets of interlayer glass having each a specific difference between the average coefft. of linear expansion at a specific temp. and transition temp. with respect to the other, between inorg. parts having different coeffts. of linear expansion.
CONSTITUTION: In a glass body bonded by sealing in multi-stages and constituted of plural sheets of interlayer glass sandwiched between two inorganic members having coeffts. of linear expansion different to each other, ≥2 kinds of interlayer glass are used, wherein an average coefft. (α) of the linear expansion at 30W380°C of one interlayer glass (A) and its transmition temp. (Tg) have relations to the corresponding values of adjacent interglass (B) as described hereunder. α for A is larger than α for B by 7×10-7W9×10-7/°C; and Tg for A is higher than Tg for B by ≥15°C; or α for A is larger than α for B by 9×10-7W 10×10-7/°C, and Tg for A is higher than Tg for B by ≥25°C; or α for A is larger than α for B by 11×10-7W13×10-7/°C, and Tg for A is higher than Tg for B by ≥30°C; or α for A is larger than α for B by 13×10-7W17×-7/ °C, and Tg for A is higher than Tg for B by ≥80°C. By this constitution, a glass body bonded by sealing in multistage with high reliability is obtd. by reducing the residual stress to be generated in the sealed part thus preventing damages of the glass.
