Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the safety of a water-wheel by energizing a stp solenoid or a trip coil of a breaker by the output of a permanent magnet generator coupled directly to a generator shaft when a control DC power source fails. CONSTITUTION:When an ordinary control DC power source is present, a relay 9 is energized, and the output of a permanent magnet generator 16 coupled directly to a generator shaft is interrupted by a contact 13. When a control DC power source is failed, a relay 9 is deenergized, the contact 13 is made after the prescribed period of time. When a permanent magnet generator 16 generates a voltage, the output of the generator 16 is supplied to relays 7, 8, while when the generator 16 does not generate power, an AC power source voltage in the station is supplied to the relays 7, 8, thereby closing the water inlet of the water wheel and stopping the water wheel, and the genrator is disconnected from the system. In this manner, even when the control DC power source fails, the water- wheel can be operated at the safety side.
