PURPOSE: To improve the operability, by constituting so that a line feed code is not inserted except the time of outputting to a printer, and a blank area of the line end is always set to a writable state.
CONSTITUTION: When a prescribed line read-out signal is sent to a line read- out part 13 from a CPU 11, the line read-out part 13 obtains area information in a text buffer corresponding to its prescribed line from a line control part 12, reads out contents of the text buffer and sends them to a CPU 11. When it is decided by a blank deciding part 14 that the line end of the prescribed line is a blank area, the CPU 11 sends the prescribed line to a line feed code write part 15, in which a line feed code is written in the blank area of the line end of the prescribed line, and when its writing ends, said prescribed line is returned to the CPU 11. Subsequently, the prescribed line is sent out to a printer and its line is printed by the printer.
