PURPOSE: A fungicide for agriculture and gardening having remedying effect and protecting effect on plant blight without damaging plant wherein microorganisms live, comprising a specific pyridazinone compound as an active ingredient.
CONSTITUTION: A fungicide comprising a pyridazinone compound shown by the formula (A is -CH=CH-, -CH2-CH2-; R1 is halogen; R2 is H, OH, halogen, lower alkyl, or lower alkoxy; R3 is H or halogen; Y is OH, halogen, lower alkylamino, lower alkenylamino, anilino, piperidino, morpholino, etc.) as an active ingredient. When this compound is used as dust or a treatment for water surface, it is capable of controlling especially sheath blight of rice plant, and when it is used a treatment for soil and seed, it is capable of controlling effectively soil infective blights such as damping-off of beet, cotton, cucumber, etc., southern blight of egg-plant, black spot of potato, etc. Also useful as a fungicide for orchards, unagricultural land, mountain and forest, etc.
