Abstract:
PURPOSE:To enable the thrust bearing supporter of an automatic transmission or the like to support a very rapidly rotating member, by providing an intermediate member and thrust bearings between two members which rotate relative to each other. CONSTITUTION:When an internal gear R2 and a plate 1 are rotated while being thrusted, a thrust needle bearing 6 is turned together. Since the needles of the thrust bearing 6 roll on the surface of an intermediate member 7, this member is rotated in the same direction as the plate 1. The opposite surface of the intermediate member 7 turns in contact with the needles of another thrust needle bearing 5 so that a member 4 is rotated. Since the bearings 5, 6 have almost the same frictional resistance, their needles roll at almost the same speed. For that reason, the intermediate member 7 is rotated at a half of the revolution speed of the plate 1. According to this constitution, the load upon the bearings 5, 6 can be reduced even under rapid rotation to lengthen their lifetime.
