PURPOSE: To obtain a long delayed ghost signal stably, by converting a TV signal into an intermediate frequency signal and using a charge transfer element possible for long delay or an ultrasonic wave delay line as a delay element.

CONSTITUTION: A tuner circuit 7 selects a TV signal and converts the signal into an intermediate frequency signal. A signal delay circuit 8 delays the intermediate frequency signal and obtains a plurality of intermediate frequency signals different from delay time. A plurality of variable attenuation circuits 90, 91∼9n attenuate a plurality of intermediate frequency signals individually. An addition circuit 10 adds output signals of the circuits 90∼9n. A ghost signal is obtained from the output side of the circuit 10. As a delay element of the circuit 8, a charge transfer element or an ultrasonic wave delay line suitable for long delay is used, and delay elements 12, 14, 16 are connected with amplifiers 13, 15, 17 respectively for the level correction of the output signals.
