Title:
MEASUREMENT OF EQUILIBRIUM CONCENTRATION OF SUBSTANCE IN AQUATIC ANIMAL
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5899757
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To estimate the concentration a of substance for continuous oral dosage from the max. calculated concentration determined in a single oral dosage by obtaining the relationship between the max. calculated concentration and the max. measured concentration employing several chemical compounds beforehand.

CONSTITUTION: Carps are used as aquatic animal to conduct a single oral dosage experiment. A feed to be dosed is so arranged to contain a specified amount of chemical compound listed with a water content of 20% which is 3mm in the diameter and 3mm in the length. Caprs are dosed with this feed at a rate of 1% of the weight thereof. Five each of the carps are sampled at a fixed time interval after the dosage and intestinal canals thereof are removed. Then, they are analyzed as a whole and a graph is prepared with the concentration of the chemical compound plotted on the axis of ordinate and the time the axis of abscissa. From this graph, various constants are calculated and compared with the results of continuous oral dosage of the same sample made at an interval of 24hr.
