Abstract:
PURPOSE:To improve the prevention effect of a titled preventing material and facilitate its peeling in accordance with need by depositing or impregnating >=1 kind of boric acid, phosphoric acid, silicic acid type high temp. adhesives on or with a molding consisting of an inorg. heat insulating material. CONSTITUTION:This temp. drop preventing material consisting in impregnating or depositing >=1 kind of boric acid, phosphoric acid, silicic acid type high temp. adhesives on or with a molding in the form of plate, fabric or paper consisting of an inorg. heat insulating material is used by affixing the same onto the surface of a high-temp. metallic object. For example, a high temp. slab 1 emerging out from a casting process is lost of heat considerably in its corner angle parts 2-5 and front end part 6 during the course of conveyance to a rolling process and in this state, direct rolling is infeasible. Therefore, these preventing materials 7, 8 are affixed on the front and rear end faces of the slab 1, so that the temp. drop of said parts is prevented for fairly parts.
