Abstract:
PURPOSE:To increase the gap in the engaging area of a nuclear reactor by providing an ejector at part of a coolant flow passage to communicate it with a low pressure coolant chamber to thus control the pressure in the low pressure coolant chamber. CONSTITUTION:An ejector 16 is provided through the bottom surface 50 of a bowl 5 to be guided from one 6 of lower double area to the other 6' thereof with high pressure coolant. The intermediate area of the ejector 16 is throttled to allow a tube 17 opened at the bottom 70 of the double area and cylinder 7 to intake the coolant from lower pressure coolant chamber 15 into the ejector 16 for recirculation. As a result, the pressure in the chamber 15 can be retained constant to alter the pressure in the chamber 15 as desired by selecting the position of the tube.
