Abstract:
PURPOSE:To provide the titled compsn. having excellent flame retardance, tensile strength, elongation, elasticity, bond strength, etc. and suitable for use as an adhesive, consisting of a chlorine-contg. copolymer and an nisocyanate group-contg. urethane polymer. CONSTITUTION:30-80% (by weight, the same applies hereinbelow) vinyl chloride, 20-60% vinylidene chloride and 2-10% (meth)allyl chloride and/or not more than 10% other monomer (e.g. acrylate ester) are suspension-polymerized at 40-70 deg.C for 15-30hr to obtain a chlorine-contg. polymer (A) having a water content of 2% or below. 10-80% urethane polymer contg. isocyanate groups and having a weight-average MW of 500-20,000 obtd. by the addition reaction of a polyisocyanate and a glycol, is added to a soln. of 90-20% component A in an org. solvent such as methylchloroform. Optionally, flame retarder (e.g. tricresyl phosphate), plasticizer (e.g. butyl phthalate), etc. are added thereto.
