Abstract:
Provided is an optical filter in which a dielectric multilayer film does not readily separate from a transparent substrate. The optical filter 1 comprises a transparent substrate 2 that is formed from glass, and a dielectric multilayer film 3 that is provided upon the transparent substrate 2 and contains hafnium oxide, the arithmetic average height Sa of the surface of the transparent substrate 2 on the dielectric multilayer film 3 side being 0.22 nm or less.
