Abstract:
Provided are a card and a card holder that have a function of preventing skimming of RFID. A card (1) with a function of preventing skimming of RFID has a metallic thin plate (2) and decorative plates (3a, 3b) laminated on the front and back faces of the metallic thin plate. The card (1) is carried always together with a contactless IC card (4). When a card reader (5) or a skimmer tries to read information recorded on the contactless IC card (4), an eddy current is generated in the metallic thin plate (2), and a diamagnetic field ((B), 7) caused by the eddy current cancels a magnetic field from the reader (5) or a skimmer, preventing the contactless IC card (4) from being activated. Further, when the card (1) is fitted in a card holder (10) and the IC card (4) is received in the card holder (10), skimming is prevented while the card is carried by a user and, while in use, reading of information recorded on the IC card (4) is facilitated.
