Abstract:
A method and an apparatus for providing a streaming service are disclosed. According to one embodiment of the present invention, a method for providing a streaming service includes the steps of judging whether or not key information received from a client is active, judging whether client status information is received at a status check time if the key information is active, judging whether the received client status information is active if the client status information is received at a status check time, and transmitting streaming content if the client status information is active. The present invention prevents users from recording or storing streaming content being reproduced in a client.
