Abstract:
To provide a three-dimensional display device that has a high degree of freedom in setting a preferred viewing distance according to a use environment such as the movement of a user's head.SOLUTION: A three-dimensional display device 3 includes: a display panel 5; an optical element (lenticular lens 9); a detector 2; and a controller 7 that controls the display panel 5 to display a first image and a second image in a mixed state on the basis of a detected position of any one eye of the first eye and the second eye. The controller 7 executes first shift processing of shifting an active area 51 outward so as to increase an amount of shift by one sub-pixel, second shift processing of, as one of the eyes is shifted by one sub-pixel, shifting a boundary of the first shift processing by one sub-pixel, and third shift processing of shifting sub-pixels in a second period by one sub-pixel and shifting the boundary by the number of sub-pixels in a first period.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 18
