Abstract:
PURPOSE:To perform cost down of a system as a whole, by obtaining a 4-way thermo selector valve, which provides two times the capability of a 3-way selector valve, to both remarkably simplify piping construction and eliminate the necessity for a conventional thermostat. CONSTITUTION:In a solar system equipped with a heat collector 1, heat accumulator tank 2, pump 3 and an auxiliary heat source 6, a 4-way thermo selector valve A is interposed between an outlet line 5 and an auxiliary outlet line 12 taking out high temperature water from the source 6. While a cool water supply line 11 and a faucet line 13 are also connected to said valve A. This valve A is constituted by providing a temperature sensing chamber 27 equipped with a temperature sensing unit 28 between a mixing chamber 26 communicated to the first-third inlets 22-24 and an outlet 25. Then if, for instance, temperature of hot water from the tank 2 is high, expansion of the unit 28 lowers the first valve body 29 to limit an inflow amount of hot water from the inlet 22 while lowers the third valve body 31 to introduce cool water from the inlet 24 and fix the temperature of hot water.
